BEING

잇은(itt-eun)의 전시<BEING>은 오롯한 시각예술을 위한 두 작가의 공동작업을 보여준다. 나무, 와이어, 아크릴, 캔버스 등 각기 다른 재료의 질감과 형태로 자아내는 두 작가의 조형적 조합과 변주에는 개인의 작업방식과 서로에 대한 신뢰와 믿음이 반영된다. 그림자까지 치밀히 계산된 듯한 와이어, 예리하게 절단된 아크릴, 면밀히 계획되어 짜인 캔버스에는 부드럽고 풍부한 색감이 유연하게 덧입혀져 두 작가가 층층이 주고받는 시각언어의 지표를 그대로 드러낸다.

'잇은(itt-eun)'은 작가 김효정, 홍정욱이 각자의 예술적 담론과 개별성을 내려놓고 오로지 조형요소의 관계를 통한 시각예술을 실현하고자 2022년에 시작된 프로젝트이다. 타이틀 '잇은'은 연결의 의미인 '잇다'와 그들의 아들 '이든'의 이름에서 시작되었다.

The exhibition <BEING> by Itt-eun presents the collaborative work of two artists solely dedicated to visual art. The textures and forms of materials such as wood, wire, acrylic, and canvas reflect not only each artist's sculptural combinations and individual working style but also their mutual trust and belief in one another. The meticulously calculated shadows in the wire, sharply cut acrylic, and intricately planned woven canvas are overlaid with soft and rich colors, revealing the layers of visual language exchanged between the two artists.

'Itt-eun' is a project initiated in 2022 by artists Kim Hyo-jung and Hong Jung-wook. They set aside their individual artistic discourses and identities to focus solely on realizing visual art through the relationship of formal elements. The title '잇은' derives from the Korean word '잇다' (itda), meaning 'to connect,' and '이든' (Eden), the name of their son, symbolizing the connection between their collaborative work and personal lives.
